The Griffith Observatory at elevation 1,135 feet is located on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles's Griffith Park. It provides great indoor and outdoor features. The indoor features include the Foucault Pendulum, many space and science-related exhibits, telescopes, the planetarium shows, and the Cafe at the End of the Universe. The outdoor features include the Griffith Observatory, the Astronomers Monument, the James Dean Bust, and excellent views of the Los Angeles Basin, the Hollywood Sign, and the Pacific Ocean.
